ScopeLock

Change order sign-off for contractors & freelancers

Extra work deserves a signature before you start it.

ScopeLock sends your client a single link showing exactly what you’re adding, what it costs and when it’s due. They sign with their finger, you get a signed, timestamped record. Free for up to two sign-offs a month.

No credit card. Your client never needs an account.

1. Add the extra work

3. They sign, you lock it

Client signs with a finger, taps Approve. You both get a dated, signed record.

Most contractors need a change order a couple of times a month — that’s the free plan. When it becomes a weekly habit, Pro removes the limit.

Common questions

Change orders, answered straight.

What is a change order?+

A change order is a written agreement that documents work added after the original scope. It lists the added work, cost, and payment terms. A signed change order protects both sides.

How do I get a client to approve a change order?+

Send one link. Your client opens the ScopeLock approval page, reviews the work items and cost, signs with their finger, and approves.

Is an electronic signature legally binding?+

Yes. Electronic signatures are legally binding under the ESIGN Act and UETA. ScopeLock strengthens the record with a timestamp, IP address and audit trail.

How is ScopeLock different from DocuSign?+

DocuSign is a general e-signature platform. ScopeLock is one purpose: change orders. No templates, no envelopes, no client account.
